Returns & Exchanges Made Simple

We offer returns and exchanges on most items. All returned products must be in new, unused condition with original tags and labels attached. 

Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 2-4 business days of us receiving and confirming the return. You will be notified by email when your refund has been processed. Affirm Finance returns may take up to 5-7 days. 

Trial Periods by Brand

Each brand we carry has its own sleep trial period. Find your brand below for a quick overview — full terms are in the sections that follow.

 

 

How to Start a Return or Exchange

The process is straightforward. Here’s what to do: 

1.  Check your trial window — Confirm you are within your brand’s trial period using the table above. Returns cannot be accepted after the trial period has expired.

2.  Contact us — Email support@cloudymattress.com or call (800) 540-9851 Mon–Fri, 10 am–5 pm CT. Include your order number and the reason for your return.

3.  We’ll arrange a collection — Our team will confirm eligibility and arrange pickup or provide return instructions depending on your brand and product.

4.  Receive your refund/ exchange — Once your return is confirmed, your exchange/ refund will be processed to your original payment method within 2-4 business days. It may take a little longer for Affirm Finance customers taking 5-7 business days. 

 All returned products must be:

•  In like-new condition — free from stains, damage, or odours

• Used only on an appropriate base or foundation

• Returned with the original law tag intact

Environmental damage, such as mold due to product misuse, voids return eligibility.

Brand-by-Brand Return Terms 

Cloudy Mattress

120-night comfort guarantee on qualifying models. Returns only apply to the original owner for purchases made directly from cloudymattress.com. To initiate a comfort exchange, contact us within 120 nights. 

A $199 redelivery fee applies. The replacement mattress must be of equal or greater value and is not eligible for a second exchange. Product labels must remain intact. No refunds or returns after 120 nights.

DreamCloud

365-night trial. Sleep on the mattress for at least 30 nights, then contact DreamCloud Customer Service to initiate a return. Returns are free — DreamCloud arranges local charity pickup or recycling at no charge. 

The mattress must be in a usable condition. Product exchanges are processed within 5–10 business days after pickup. Shipping fees and White Glove Service are non-refundable. One exchange per customer.

Nectar

365-night trial. You may initiate a return anytime between day 30 and day 365. The mattress must be clean, undamaged, and used on a proper foundation. Returns are free — Nectar coordinates charity pickup or recycling. Shipping fees and White Glove delivery fees are non-refundable. Promotional item values may be deducted from your refund. One return per household.

Diamond

120-night trial on qualifying models. 30-night minimum required. Returns are free — Diamond arranges pickup by an authorised agent and donates the mattress. No restocking fees. One return per customer and household. Applies to purchases made directly from Cloudy Mattress only.

Malouf

100-night trial on mattresses, adjustable bases, and sleep bundles purchased on cloudymattress.com. All other Malouf returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery. 30-night minimum required.

 The adjustable base must be functional, clean, and undamaged. The customer is responsible for return shipping, or pay $199 and Cloudy Mattress will arrange it. Damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic proof.

BEDGEAR

Mattresses: 30-day trial (21-night minimum). M3 Mattress: Independent Suspension replacement offered first; full refund available after that, less an end-of-life fee of $199. Kids and Crib mattresses: unopened only within 100 days. Pillows: 30-day trial. Adjustable bases: non-refundable. Protectors, sheets, blankets: unopened only within 100 days. The customer is responsible for return shipping in all cases.

Bedding & Accessories (General)

All accessory returns — bedding, pillows, protectors, and toppers — must be initiated within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unopened and unused. Manufacturing defects or transit damage are also accepted. The customer is responsible for return shipping. Damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic proof.

Furniture

Returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery. Furniture must be functional, clean, and undamaged. The customer is responsible for return shipping, or pays $199 and Cloudy Mattress will arrange it. Damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with the photographic proof.
