About Malouf at Cloudy

Malouf, founded in 2003 by Sam Malouf in Logan, Utah, with over 20 years of product development experience, has built one of the most complete luxury sleep ecosystems available under one brand. The brand initially focused on bedding accessories such as mattress protectors, pillows, and bed frames.

Malouf is a certified sleep brand offering products ranging from Malouf mattresses and adjustable bases to the Z Pillows collection, structured bed frames, and mattress toppers. Malouf covers every layer of the sleep environment. Malouf retains its prominence as a larger supplier of bedding accessories in the U.S. wholesale furniture and mattress industry.

At Cloudy, our Malouf collection brings together the full lineup, from Malouf Ice Cloud and Polaris hybrid mattresses through to CarbonCool-infused foam pillows, Tencel and French linen sheets, ActiveChill-cooling-technology bedding, and the full Malouf Home accessories range.

What Makes Malouf Different

Here are the reasons why Malouf products stand out in the market:

Extensive Zoned Pillow Engineering

Malouf's pillow catalog includes zoned Dough, ActiveDough, and gel constructions, each designed to support different pressure points depending on sleep position. Shoulder-specific models add cutouts and zoning built specifically for side sleepers. Sleepers can choose a fill, zoning pattern, and cooling level suited to their exact sleep position and temperature preference.

Advanced Cooling Fabric Technology

Malouf uses technologies like CarbonCool, HyperChill, and Omniphase across its pillows and protectors, each targeting heat regulation through a different mechanism. CarbonCool uses carbon-infused foam to draw heat away from the body; HyperChill relies on a chemical-free cooling fiber woven directly into the fabric; and Omniphase uses phase-change material.

Versatile Products

Malouf offers pillow variations, multiple protector technologies, adjustable bases, and premium sheet materials like Tencel and French linen. This establishes the brand's expertise across categories. With Malouf, sleepers can buy a fully coordinated sleep accessory system that matches pillow fill, protector, cooling technology, and sheet material, all sourced from a single brand.

Accessory-First Specialization

Malouf is built primarily around sleep accessories, with a strong focus on pillow zoning, advanced fabric technologies, and high-quality mattress protector construction. This accessory-first approach makes the brand an excellent choice for sleepers who want to enhance their overall sleep setup.

What You Will Find in Our Malouf Collection

Here is all that’s included in the Cloudy Malouf collection:

Who It's For

Choosing the right Malouf products depends on the specific comfort or protection gap a sleeper is trying to fill:

Side Sleepers

Sleepers who experience shoulder pressure should look to Malouf's shoulder-specific pillow line, designed with cutouts and zoning for side sleeping. The products include the Shoulder Gel Cooling Dough + Z Gel Pillow and the Shoulder Zoned Dough Bamboo Charcoal Pillow.

Hot Sleepers

Hot sleepers can benefit from Malouf's CarbonCool and HyperChill product lines for superior temperature regulation.

Sleepers Wanting Adjustable Pillow Loft

Sleepers who prefer to customize their pillow height night to night are better served by the Shredded Gel Dough or Gelled Microfiber Z Pillow than by a fixed-loft foam pillow.

Shoppers Furnishing a Premium Bedroom

Sleepers looking to elevate their bedding beyond the mattress should go for Malouf's Tencel and French linen sheet sets, which bring a hotel-style finish to the bedroom.
