The Beautyrest Core Level One Mattress delivers Simmons' signature pocketed coil support paired with contouring memory foam in a balanced 12.5-inch tight-top hybrid build. Cloudy Mattress is an Authorized Beautyrest retailer, so every purchase is an Official Simmons Beautyrest product backed by the full manufacturer's warranty.

The feel sits comfortably in the medium range of the comfort scale, making this 12.5 inch tight top hybrid mattress suitable for back, side, and stomach sleepers alike. Because of this balanced support, it ranks among the medium-tight top mattresses for back pain relief options for sleepers who want both contouring and lift.

Inside, multiple engineered components work together, beginning with a tight top mattress construction that delivers a smooth, even sleep surface across the full bed. This Simmons Beautyrest Core Level 1 Medium uses Beautyrest® ActiveResponse™ Memory Foam to contour to the body and deliver pressure relief at key pressure points. Furthermore, the foam layers help relieve aches and tension, supporting targeted back support and alignment through the night.

Beneath the comfort foams, Beautyrest Pocketed Coil Technology forms the supportive core, with individually wrapped coils that deliver responsive support. This signature coil system also provides motion separation for undisturbed sleep, making it a strong medium support pocketed coil mattress option for couples sharing the bed.

A high-density support foam core anchors the base, delivering durable edge-to-edge support and lasting stability for years of consistent rest. The mattress also features antimicrobial treatment to help guard against microbial degradation, supporting a fresher sleep environment over time.

At a 12.5-inch profile, this Beautyrest Core medium queen mattress and other variants are fully adjustable base compatible for personalized comfort positioning. Together, these layers deliver consistent head-to-toe comfort and breathable temperature regulation that Beautyrest sleepers have trusted for generations.

Additionally, it is backed by a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty and the Simmons quality assurance guarantee that comes with every Beautyrest mattress.

Key Mattress Benefits

5 Layers
Of Cooling
Comfort

This tight top mattress construction features a smooth quilted cover that delivers an even, consistent sleep surface across the entire mattress. Unlike pillow top designs, the tight top is integrated directly with the mattress for a uniform feel.

This contouring foam layer is engineered specifically by Beautyrest to deliver pressure relief and body conforming comfort. As a result, sleepers benefit from cradled support at key pressure points without sinking too deeply into the mattress.

The signature coil system features individually wrapped coils designed to deliver outstanding individualized support. Furthermore, the pocketed design reduces motion transfer between partners, supporting motion separation for undisturbed sleep through the night.

This high-density support foam core anchors the entire mattress build and supports the no-flip design. It helps maintain consistent shape, performance, and stability for years of dependable use.

A built-in antimicrobial treatment is applied to help guard against degradation from microorganisms and inhibit the growth of bacterial odors. This treatment is designed to support a fresher sleep environment, though it does not protect users against bacteria, viruses, or other disease organisms.

Fibromyalgia on a budget — this works

I have fibromyalgia and need a specific kind of mattress support but also have a limited budget. The Core Level One medium tight top hits the balance I needed — the pocketed coil system reduces pressure points and the medium feel keeps me from sinking into misalignment. It's not as refined as the premium Beautyrest lines but the core engineering is there and it's making a real difference in my sleep quality.

Six months — holding up better than comparable mattresses at this price

I've owned budget mattresses before and they typically show wear by month four or five. The Core Level One is at six months and still feels close to how it did when new. No soft spots, no body impressions that concern me, the medium feel is substantially unchanged. Beautyrest's coil engineering clearly extends even to their entry-level products. For the price this is an exceptional value.

Teenager's room — solved the back pain problem

Our 15-year-old had been waking up with lower back pain for months on his old mattress. His pediatrician recommended medium firmness with a tight top surface for developing spines — pillow tops can allow improper curvature. The Core Level One is the right recommendation for young people at a price that makes sense for a growing kid's room. His back pain complaints stopped within two weeks of switching.

Acceptable for the price but you can feel the entry-level

For what I paid this mattress is perfectly acceptable and I have no major complaints. But compared to mid-range and premium mattresses the entry-level origins are noticeable — the coil response isn't as refined, the comfort layer is thinner, and the overall feel is simpler. If this is your budget it's the right choice at this level. Just setting expectations: this is not a premium sleep experience, it's a solid budget one.

No off-gassing, immediate comfort

Unboxed it, no smell, slept on it the same night. The medium tight top feel was immediately comfortable without any break-in period. First night sleep was better than I expected at this price point. Beautyrest quality shows even at the entry level from the very first night.

HAVE QUESTIONS?

WE'VE GOT ANSWERS

Designed for deep comfort and better rest, so you wake up refreshed and ready for the day

Yes, the Beautyrest Core Level One is well-suited for back sleepers. The medium feel combined with Beautyrest's pocketed coil system delivers balanced support that helps keep the spine in healthy alignment, while the ActiveResponse Memory Foam contours to the body's natural curves.

A tight top mattress features a smooth, quilted cover that is integrated directly with the mattress for a uniform, even sleep surface. A pillow top adds a separate cushioned layer sewn onto the top of the mattress for an extra-plush feel, often with a visible seam between the pillow top and the main body. Tight tops typically deliver a slightly firmer, more consistent surface and a cleaner look.

Beautyrest mattresses require proper support to maintain the warranty. The mattress can be placed on a Beautyrest foundation, an adjustable base, or a platform bed with proper slat support. Cloudy Mattress also offers an optional box spring with a metal foundation as an add-on at checkout.

Yes, the Beautyrest Core Level One is a fully adjustable base compatible. You can pair it with your preferred adjustable foundation for personalized positioning, including elevating the head or foot of the bed for reading, watching TV, or zero-gravity rest.

The Beautyrest Core Level One is rated as a medium feel on the comfort scale. This balanced firmness delivers contouring comfort with reliable support, making it accessible for a wide range of sleepers, including back, side, and stomach positions.
