The Dri-Tec Sofa Bed Mattress Protector is the only BEDGEAR protector engineered specifically for pull-out sofa bed mechanics. A two-way stretch skirt fits thin sofa mattresses up to 4 inches deep without getting caught in the fold mechanism, while patented Dri-Tec® moisture-wicking fabric and a noiseless waterproof barrier keep the sleep surface dry, fresh, and hygienic for every guest.

Two-Way Stretch Skirt Engineered for Sofa Bed Fold Mechanics

Standard mattress protectors use rigid skirts that bunch, pull, and catch inside the sofa mechanism when the bed folds back. The Dri-Tec Sofa Bed protector is built with a fully-banded elastic two-way stretch skirt that flexes with the fold and retracts cleanly when the sofa closes.

The skirt fits sofa bed mattresses up to 4 inches in depth, the range where most pull-out mattresses fall. No repositioning, no removal, no fabric catching in the frame each time the sofa opens and closes.

Dri-Tec® Lofted Honeycomb Moisture-Wicking Surface for Guest Comfort

Guest sleepers bring different body temperatures and perspiration levels than household sleepers. The Dri-Tec® lofted honeycomb pattern surface disperses sweat away from the body continuously, keeping the sofa bed surface dry and fresh through the full night regardless of how the guest sleeps.

The breathable layers enhance airflow through the protector, preventing the heat buildup that makes thin sofa mattresses uncomfortable in warm rooms. Guests sleep cooler and wake up drier than on a standard unprotected pull-out mattress.

Noiseless Waterproof Barrier for Allergen and Spill Defense

The noiseless waterproof barrier blocks spills, stains, pet dander, dust mites, mold, and mildew from accumulating inside the sofa bed mattress. Sofa beds are used infrequently, which makes them especially vulnerable to allergen buildup between uses.

The barrier operates silently through every sleep movement so guests are not disturbed by crinkling or plastic noise during the night. A clean, protected sofa mattress also preserves the sofa's resale value and extends its usable lifespan significantly.

Two-Way Stretch Skirt
Fold-Axis Skirt Engineering

Contracts with the fold, never catches

Two-Way Stretch Skirt

The two-way stretch polyester skirt is engineered to contract under the tension created when the sofa mechanism folds the mattress in half. Unlike standard four-way stretch or rigid elastic skirts, the directional two-way construction pulls inward along the fold axis rather than resisting it, preventing the excess fabric that catches in sofa frame hinges during storage.

Compression-Resistant Airflow

Airflow is preserved even under pressure

Dri-Tec® Lofted Honeycomb Construction

Thin sofa mattresses compress more under body weight than standard mattresses, reducing the air gap between the sleeper and the mattress surface. The lofted honeycomb pattern maintains raised fabric peaks across the Dri-Tec® surface that preserve microscopic airflow channels even under compression. It prevents the heat and moisture accumulation that makes thin sofa mattresses uncomfortable during longer sleep periods.

No, the lightweight polyester surface and noiseless polyurethane laminate add no perceptible thickness to a sofa mattress. Guests sleep on the same surface feel as the unprotected mattress without any added firmness or texture.

Yes, the noiseless waterproof barrier blocks pet dander, dust mites, and common allergens from entering the sofa mattress. Sofa beds stored folded between uses are particularly prone to allergen accumulation, and this protector addresses that between every use.
