I expected Sofinity foam to be a rebrand of standard memory foam. It isn't. The rebound is faster and the feel is more responsive - you sink in just enough without the slow-hold that memory foam creates. On a medium-soft mattress this matters a lot. You get cushion without feeling stuck. A real material innovation not a marketing label.

The depth on this mattress is immediately noticeable. Every layer has room to do its full job - the coils have real travel the Sofinity foam has genuine thickness and the medium-soft feel is well-calibrated throughout. Not just soft on top and firm underneath. It's a consistent medium-soft experience all the way through. South Bay got the layer balance exactly right.

Soft mattresses trap heat because foam surrounds you more completely. The coil system in the Sofinity Hybrid Plus allows airflow that pure foam can't provide. Combined with the Sofinity foam which breathes better than memory foam I get the soft surface I love without the heat trap I hated. Finally solved a trade-off I thought was permanent.

The mattress quality is clearly excellent and the Sofinity foam is as described. My personal note is the medium-soft feel reads closer to soft to me. If you want a gentle plush surface you'll be very happy. If you're expecting a more neutral medium-soft balance be prepared for something that leans softer. Not a quality complaint - just a feel calibration note.
