Hybrid coils make plant foam cooler than pure foam

Plant-based foam already breathes better than petroleum foam. The hybrid coil system adds airflow underneath that makes the thermal performance even better. Two different cooling mechanisms working together. I track sleep temperature and the EcoCore Hybrid Premium is the coolest medium mattress I've slept on. Sustainable materials and better temperature regulation. Both true.

Plant-based credentials are legitimate

I researched the plant-based foam claim before purchasing. The partial replacement of petroleum with plant-derived oils is certified reduces the carbon footprint and lowers VOC content. The mattress had essentially no off-gassing confirming the claim. South Bay didn't use eco as a marketing word - they used it as a manufacturing standard.

Plant-based hybrid is the future of mattresses

The EcoCore Hybrid Premium combines everything I care about - coil support for temperature and responsiveness plant-based foam for lower VOC content and better breathability and patented edge support for full surface use. Three months in and the medium feel is consistent the cooling is real and the plant-based foam has had no off-gassing. This is what thoughtful mattress design looks like.

10-inch hybrid on our adjustable base - perfect pairing

10-inch hybrids are ideal for adjustable bases and this one flexes perfectly at all positions. The plant-based foam cooperates with the base movement rather than resisting it and the coil airflow stays active at elevated angles. Medium feel is consistent whether flat or in zero gravity. South Bay's mattress and adjustable base working as a system.

Medium runs slightly firm for my preference

The EcoCore Hybrid Premium is excellently constructed - coils are responsive edge support is impressive and the plant foam breathes well. My personal note is the medium feel reads closer to medium-firm to me. If you're a true medium sleeper or lean toward firm you'll feel at home. If you prefer a softer medium consider that this one leans firmer. Construction quality is not the issue.
